Insert a  CompactFlash (CF) Card and increase the data storage of your notebook, palmtop, personal digital assistant (PDA), pen-based mobile computer, digital camera, or PCMCIA equipped PC. The CompactFlash Cards were designed specifically to be a mass storage device. The cards include an intelligent controller that provides two key features: flash media control and PC Card (IDE) interface. Also included in the card's controller is a sophisticated defect and error management system. This system is analogous to the systems found in all magnetic disk drives. All of these control features are completely transparent to the host system and do not consume any user data space. ATA CompactFlash Card are 100% compatible with operating systems, utilities, and application programs that support IDE disk drives.
