HubCOM-880i-RM is a robust, industrial-grade rack-mountable 16-port USB combo hub. HubCOM-880i-RM expands one USB port into eight USB to RS-232 serial ports and eight USB ports. All USB data lines and RS-232 signals are protected by 15kV ESD protection.
The HubCOM-880i-RM supports USB2.0 high speed 480Mbps, USB1.1 full speed 12Mbps or USB1.1 low speed 1.5Mbps data transfer rates. It is powered by a high quality industrial-grade switching power supply and provides up to 500mA current to downstream devices. There is no need for any driver or software installation. By plugging the cable from the USB combo hub to the host USB port of the PC and connecting your USB devices to the downstream port of the combo hub, the host PC immediately gains eight USB to RS-232 serial ports and eight USB ports. There are no IRQ & COM port conflicts, since the port doesn’t require any additional IRQ, DMA, memory as resources on the system.
All of the RS-232 ports function as native Windows COM ports, and are all compatible with Windows serial communication applications. Each of the eight serial ports is individually configurable with different serial communication parameters (speed, data bits, stop bits, parity and RTS/CTS, XON/XOFF flow control, transmit and receive FIFO size…etc.).
